Bro. Sean Mulroney and Family -
for Teens of America
Beginning in 1998, Bro. Sean Mulroney became president and founder of Teens Of America (TOA). As a teenager, he was addicted to drugs and alcohol, both of which he was exposed to at the age of six, and by the time he was 13 years old, he was involved heavily with both. He knows first hand the dangers teenagers face on a daily basis, and many of his friends died young from drinking and driving, drug overdoses and suicide. It took Bro. Sean many years and the help of trusted adults for him to overcome these addictions and the saving grace of Jesus Christ to sustain him.
Since his years as a teenager, Bro. Sean's concerns for teenagers has increased because of the dangers and temptations young people face each day in the 21st Century. It is because of his experiences that he wants to help teenagers to avoid the pitfalls of drugs and alcohol and come to know Christ as Lord and Saviour. It was this desire to help young people which led him to form TOA, a drug, alcohol and crime-prevention program.
Since launching TOA, the team has seen many young people make decisions to stand against negative choices. Bro. Sean has spoken to over 50,000 students and receives emails daily from teenagers and parents asking for help or telling him that TOA's assemblies have changed their lives. Though many young people have been reached, there are thousands upon thousands more who need to know the hard truth about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
