The Scriptures
We believe the scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament (66 books) are verbally, plenarily inspired of God and without error or contradiction in the original writings; And preserved without error or contradiction in the Authorized King James Bible (1611). We believe the King James is superior to the “Greek”.
God
There is but one God, the Creator, Preserver and Ruler of all things, having in and of Himself all perfections, and beings infinite in them all; and to Him all creatures owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience.
The Trinity
God is revealed to us as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or feeling.
Man
We believe that man was created in Holiness, under the law of His maker; but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy and happy state; in consequence of which all mankind are now sinners, not by constraint, but by choice; and therefore under just condemnation to eternal ruin, without defense or excuse.
The Mediator
Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, is the divinely appointed mediator between God and man. Having taken upon Himself, human nature, by the virgin birth, yet without sin, He perfectly fulfilled the law, suffered and died upon the cross for the salvation of sinners. He was buried, and bodily arose again after 3 days and nights. Then after 40 days, He ascended to His Father, at whose right hand He ever liveth to make intercession.
Regeneration
We believe that in order to be saved, sinners must be regenerated or born again. It is wrought by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, by bringing a sinner to a place of repentance and exercising faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
Salvation
We believe that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the Gospel; that it is the immediate duty of all to accept them by obedient faith, and that nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinners on earth, but His own voluntary rejection of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Repentance
We believe that wherein a person being, by the Holy Spirit & the Word of God, made sensible of the manifold evil of his sin, humbleth himself for it with godly sorrow, detestation of it, and self-abhorrence, with a purpose and endeavor to walk with God, so as to please Him in all things.
Justification
We believe that the great Gospel blessing which Christ secures to such as believe Him is justification; that justification includes the pardon of sin, and the promise of eternal life on principles of righteousness; that it is bestowed, not in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done, but solely through faith in the Redeemer's Blood; by virtue of which faith, His perfect righteousness is freely imputed to us of God; that it brings us into a state of most blessed peace and favor with God, and secures every other blessing needful for time and eternity.
Sanctification
We believe that sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of His Holiness; that it is a progressive work; that it is begun in regeneration; and it is carried out in the hearts of believers, by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, the Sealer and Comforter, in the continual use of the appointed means - especially the Word of God, preaching, self-examination, self-denial, watchfulness and prayer. It is completed with the
Rapture of the Church.
Eternal Security of the Believer
We believe that believers are kept by the power of God through the sealing by the Holy Spirit and with the Holy Spirit until the Redemption of the purchased possession.
The Body of Christ
We believe that the Body of Christ, of which the Lord Jesus Christ is the Head, is made up of the saints of the church age, whether present with the Lord or present on the earth.
The Church
We believe that a church is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel; observing the ordinances, baptism and the Lord's Supper, of the Lord Jesus Christ, governed by His laws; and exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by His Word; that its only scriptural officers are bishops or pastors and deacons.
Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit gives at least one gift to each believer and they are to be used to minister to the saints. We reject the sign gifts that are for Israel - healings, miracles, prophecy, tongues, and interpretation of tongues.
Rapture of Church
We believe the rapture, the Lord Jesus Christ, coming with His saints, for His saints, to take them to Heaven, will take place before the tribulation and the millennium reign of Christ.
Hell
We believe that there is a literal Hell, where the fire is not quenched and all who reject God's plan of salvation, will end up there forever.
Government
We believe that civil government is of divine appointment, for the interests and good order of human society; and that magistrates are to be prayed for, conscientiously honored, and obeyed; except only in things opposed to the Word of God and the will of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only Lord of the conscience.
We believe in the separation of church and state and that the state has no right to license any ministry of the church, which includes anything the church does to minister to the saved or lost (both spiritual and physical).
The Resurrection
We believe the saved will one day be resurrected to receive a body like the Lord Jesus Christ and so shall we ever be with the Lord. The lost will be resurrected, judged and cast into the Lake of Fire.
Judgments
We believe that all men will be judged according to scripture. The saved are judged for their works at the Judgment Seat of Christ, the lost are judged for the works at the White Throne Judgment, and as the saved will be rewarded for their good works, the lost will be punished according to their works.
