Sylvania Hills Baptist Church Services

At Sylvania Hills Baptist Church, we offer a number of opportunities for our members and visitors to worship with us each week, including adult and children Sunday school classes, Sunday morning and evening worship and Bible study, and a mid-week evening meeting to re-strengthen us through the rest of the week.

Feel free to join us in worship and fellowship...we look forward to meeting you and studying God's Word together!

Guest Speakers

Occasionally we have missionaries who fill our pulpit on a Sunday or Wednesday to share with us the work God is accomplishing through them. It's always encouraging to hear first-hand how Sylvania Hills Baptist Church's support helps our brothers and sisters on mission fields throughout the world to reach the lost and positively impact people's lives through God's life-giving Word.

For example...

Missionary Evangelist Ray Dombeck and the BEAMS Missionary Ministry

Brother Ray is a valued member of the Beams Missionary Ministry in assisting the cause of supplying whole hardback Bibles to missionaries around the world. He is serious about preaching the Word of God, seeing souls saved, and influencing people for Christ. He has been effective on mission fields throughout the world in reaching thousands with his life-changing messages.

The Goal of Beams is to provide complete hard cover Bibles free of charge to missionaries. The primary purpose of BEAMS is to raise funds through offerings from local Bible believing Baptist churches for the printing and distribution of these Bibles to missionaries in need. Presently, the BEAMS ministry is serving 2,000 missionaries and national workers in 123 countries. The BEAMS ministry is sending out 10,000 whole hard cover Bibles per month in 24 languages.

Church Service Times:

Sunday Morning Service: 11:00 a.m.

Sunday Evening Service: 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday Evening Service: 7:00 p.m.

Brother Ray Dombeck is also a Chalk Artist

His illustrated chalk sermons are designed to produce a lasting impact on the listeners, as people will retain more of what they see than what they hear. The chalk art service provides an excellent opportunity for attracting unsaved visitors to church, who normally would not come.

During Brother Dombeck's 11:00 a.m. message at Sylvania Hills, he created a chalk illustration of David and his men in exile, wandering through the wilderness and hiding in caves. The messages and talent Brother Dombeck shared with the congregation on Sunday morning and evening were truly inspiring! We look forward to having him back with us again soon!
